More than 20 social leaders from 6 Latin American countries took part. Find out all the details here.
To accelerate social impact for children and teenagers in Latin America, at Impactus Ventures we successfully held the first edition of Fellowship Impactus - Social Organizations Chapter, with the support of Fundación FEMSA. It is a community of leaders who are solving social or environmental problems that affect children and young people in Latin America. The fellowship also includes a program to accelerate the social impact of these organizations, with the goal of increasing each organization’s impact through training in social innovation.
A high social impact initiative
Through an open call, 22 leaders from 19 organizations were selected. For two months, the social leaders took part in the Innovative Leadership Program, which included hands-on workshops, virtual classes, on-demand sessions and networking spaces.
It was led by Carolina Arce and Ignacia Donoso from Impactus, with the participation of leading figures in the impact and social innovation ecosystem such as Juan Manuel González, CEO of Enseña por México; Leonor Merín, Director of Innovation & Territory at Fundación Mustakis; Juan Carlos Guaqueta, Interim Vice President of United Way Latam & the Caribbean; and Eva Fernández, Director of Early Childhood at Fundación FEMSA.
The program also included startup founders such as Rubén Arias, co-founder and CEO of Beereaders, and Andreana Castellanos, founder and CEO of Afinidata.
Fellowship Impactus aims to teach social leaders how to apply innovation in their organizations, learn about the opportunities that the global entrepreneurship and impact ecosystem offers today, and lead with an innovative mindset.

It is a space to stop, reflect and act. The program let me step out of my comfort zone and think outside the box. It gave me a new set of tools and valuable networking with wonderful people that will be my compass for the next steps at Enseña por Bolivia
Adriana Yafar, CEO Enseña por México
As part of this program, the selected leaders also presented innovation projects to be implemented in their organizations, based on digital transformation and the development of products and science-based technology solutions.
It was the opportunity to have role models, advice, encouragement and data that will help me keep scaling the organization, and the strength and confidence to dare to present the teachers’ project in my organization (it was a success and they approved it, it will be a star project for my team in 2023)
Lorena Avilés, head of Colegio Digital Comfama
